Chungju's City "Lovebirds" - "Too cute!"
Decorative plush toys to be on sale

The 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Mastership revealed its mascot plush toys. The mascots are both traditional and modern, with both traditional martial arts taekkyeon gi and vibrant, lovable colors.

Appropriate for being Chungju natives, the mascots are mandarin ducks, the city's bird, dressed in taekkyeon gi.
The birds symbolize the city's wish for everyone to live a happy and harmonious life.

The committee hoped that the mascot's smiles and sprawling wings evokes the welcome and peace
the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Mastership endeavors to give.

The plush toys have a height of 27 cm. The soles of their feet have PVC(Poly vinyl chloride) and wires in them to let them stand and pose them.

The two mascots have fun differences. Duri has coloring appropriate for ducks his gender. The blue of his stripe and belt and orange cheek feathers are a colorful assortment. Hana has soft orange feathers matching her pale eyes and a cute ponytail collecting her head feathers.

Citizens are already charmed by the mascot dolls adorable design. One citizen who touched the dolls said, "The dolls were so cute that I couldn't just walk past them," and "They are so cute I want to buy them."

The dolls will be given to medalists in all events and will be sold online and on event grounds as commemorative souvenirs.
